Tongan Language Week

Uike ‘o e Lea Tonga, 1–7 September 2019

We celebrated Tongan Language week with lots of amazing activities and celebrations. We danced, we sang and we heard lots of traditional Tongan stories throughout the week. We were lucky enough to even have two of our wonderful Mums and their children come in and speak to us about Tonga!

Gymnastics Eastern zone competition 2019

This term a small team of Year 3-6 gymnasts entered the Eastern zone competition. We had a very successful day, congratulations to our wonderful gymnastics team of 2019!

Lit Quiz 2019

Every year we enter into the Bays and Remuera Lit quiz, this is a fun quiz all about NZ writers and the books they have written. Students get a reading list in which they need to read and study. On the day teams are quizzed on their knowledge of the books. Both our teams were in the lead the whole morning, until the final round! We are so proud of both teams. First and Third place winners of 2019!! Go St Ignatius!
